Key Details:
- Pay Range: $26 - $28 per hour, depending on experience
- Bilingual Pay Policy: Eligible for a $1.25/hour increase for Spanish proficiency.
- Schedule: Full time, Monday - Thursday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM; Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Location: 18633 SE Stark Street, Portland, OR 97233.
Who You are: We’re looking for a calm, observant, and people-focused Security Officer to help keep our clinic secure during operations. This is an unarmed, full-time role that’s all about maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Great communication and solid situational awareness
- Comfortable handling challenging interactions with the public when needed
- Excitement for safety, compliance, and problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and calmly under pressure
- 2+ years of customer service or public-facing experience required
- Spanish language skills a plus
Bonus:
- This position requires a DPSST (Department of Public Safety Standards and Training) Unarmed Security Certification. If you do not currently hold this certification, we’re happy to support you in obtaining it shortly after hire.
Responsibilities: As our new Security Officer, you’ll walk the facility and parking areas, monitor for unusual activity, respond professionally to any incidents, and lock up at the end of the night. You’ll also support our Facilities & Safety Manager and gain exposure to broader facilities procedures, great for someone interested in growing in this space.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Walk the building interior, exterior, and parking lots during shifts
- Monitor for suspicious activity and help maintain a calm, safe environment
- Ensure doors, gates, and access points are secure
- Document activity and report any safety/security concerns
- Respond professionally to incidents and assist with basic facilities/safety tasks
- Communicate with staff and support secure access to the building
